How to not DC on boss runs (Disable your Sound card, Temporarily)

(Notice this is Windows XP, if you're known with computers its you'll find the way on windows vista/7. Almost the same)

1.1: Right click My Computer > Click Properties.




1.2: Hit the "Hardware" Tab in the System Properties Window > Hit Device Manager in "Hardware" Tab




1.3: In Device Manager find "Sound, video and game controllers > Right Click "Realtek High Definition Audio" and Disable it.
(NOTE: If you got other audio devices that you running sound from, Disable them. my friend had to disable Realtek and another one called Avneax Audio or something similar.

2.1: In Device Manager again (Repeat Step 1.1 and 1.2 to enter Device Manager)
Look for the one you disabled, Right click and click "Properties"




2.2: In the Properties of Realtek device enter the "Properties" Tab, find the Audio Device, Select it and hit Properties.




2.3: Another window should popup "Realtek High Definition Audio Properties" Remember to select (x) "Use audio features on this device" Hit Apply > OK.




2.4: These changes may not take effect until you restart Windows. Simply reboot your system and you got your audio back :)

its easyer to disable it with a hammer
Stian i just get tskmngr on and go to processes and disable ramdom stuff ...all the background processes (LIKE SKYPE!)

Mike, you have to disable the device, not the programs because maple story will still get use of the Device if it is not disabled.

Why do you do that? you can't go Zakum or Horntail yet, even Papulatus
