It gives a sneak preview of five new maps that Black Ops fans will be able to buy on February 1 through Xbox Live for 1200 Microsoft points.

PS3 and PC gamers will have to wait another month.

The new multiplayer maps are called Kowloon, Berlin Wall, Discovery and Stadium – and a new zombie game called Ascension.

The Treyarch chiefs are certain they will all prove very popular.

Kowloon is taken from the single-player campaign but has been given a makeover by the studio’s online designers

‘The geometry of the map has been redesigned from the ground up,’ says Online Director Dan Bunting.

The stand-out feature of Kowloon looks to be zip-line that enables you to whizz from one point to another – but you’ll be totally exposed and unable to fire your weapon, so you’ll need to choose your moment carefully.

Discovery will see frenetic fire-fights taking place in the Antarctic research station you blast your way through in the campaign.
There are two sides to the map, which are divided by a deep chasm. Across this lies a walkway that you can blow up, sending the enemy plunging to an untimely demise

Treyarch says it has been listening hard to complaints from Black Ops players about the lack so far of sniping opportunities, so they’ve created Berlin Wall. It’s a big map and looks like it’ll be a feeding frenzy for scope-addicts. ‘Ghost’ perks and claymores at the ready, folks!

Finally, there’s Discovery, which should prove a fertile hunting ground for ‘gun and runners’ as it’s small, so you’ll need to be quick on the trigger.
